QUIET NIGHT

I did some Christmas shopping tonight. Usually I done by now but DH wanted to help. I agreed to wait till today. This drove me a little crazy. But I got up happy to get it done.

Ready to go by 9:30 am he look at me and said "I am not ready to go yet" this confused me as he was ready to go out. In Canada In December there is no mistaking when someone is ready to go outside...unless they are 14 and wearing a hoodie and sneakers; but there is no mistaking a grown-up ready to go outside.

Apparently he first had to drive 3 hours to Toronto (still recovering from a huge storm he somehow knew nothing about) to help a friend check out a location for a new comedy club. I waited. He did not return when he thought. I was not surprised. Then I headed out. I promised to bring home pizza. On my way home with the pizza the kids called to say it was the kids winter party at the Native Center. I said they could go. Then I arrived home to DH still not back.

I knew Grandma Claus was still at work. There was also a note from Aunty Claus saying she was out and...wait for it, big news...We got a housetoday and close on January 7th. So I am super happy an looking at the 2 biggest pizza ever all by myself.

  2. Congrats to you and your family. What an exciting time. Home ownership is tedious at times, but it's nice to know it all your

  3. Thanks to you all. We are excited. As for the pizzas they were mostly eaten cold...something I don't really get.
